Intent on telling stories through videography and sound design about relevant issues - the climate crisis, gender / race issues, sexuality, politics, and community development.

Music obsessed, travel-hungry, avid reader, self taught home cook & occasional painter.

Striking visuals and compelling sounds evoke our deepest emotions and can change how we perceive the world. Learn more about my post-grad work in filmmaking and audio production below or on my 'About Me' page.

NORTHGUILD PRODUCTION

Storytelling is an art, one that the producers and cinematographers at Northguild Production are no strangers to. Their ability to imbue their narratives with emotion is unmatched. Each piece is filled to the brim with striking shots as well as soundscape that's unbelievably stirring.

Northguild documents environmental issues alongside Oceans 8 Films and does some commercial work.

At Northguild Production I assist the Cinematographer and Director of Photography with camera work & PA duties. In addition, location sound work is an important part of the role I play at Northguild - capturing ambient sound, operating the boom mic, and micing talent for interviews.

"Radio Kingston reflects and celebrates one of the city's greatest strengths - it's diversity - and is guided by a commitment to lifting up voices not often heard in other media. Together, its programs offer a chance for all residents to engage, listen to, and learn from each other."

Community storytelling, artistic and musical expression, conversation and connection is what it's all about.

I am part of the Tech Team at Radio Kingston. My co-workers and I provide and set up gear for events around Kingston, NY. We do livestreams that showcase and document community events, performances, and political happenings. We also do remote broadcasts and are heavily involved in the Summer Hoot and the O+ Festival.

FILMMAKING HIGHLIGHTS

Sunflower Market COVID-19
PSA
We're living in an unprecedented time. Covid-19 has upended our way of life, seemingly, overnight.

We have to think of others as well as ourselves by buying only what we need instead of emptying the shelves, practicing social distance, and being there for one another even if we can't physically be together.
Fund for Cat Condos - Dutchess County SPCA
Cats at the Dutchess County SPCA need more living space!

The renovations to their cat condos will provide kittens and cats with a larger living area, cleaner conditions, and an overall boost to their happiness and wellbeing.
Special Surgery Fund - Dutchess County SPCA
Faith, a loveable dog with a near fatal injury, was brought to the SPCA in hopes of her eventual recovery. The Special Surgery Fund enabled Faith to receive care that she otherwise would not have access too.

The Dutchess County SPCA needs the community to step up and donate. Because this fund exists, Faith recovered and found a loving home. Other animals in the greater Hudson Valley area deserve the same chance!
House Concerts - The Unseen Music Scene
Music has always brought people together. It’s a part of our culture that has the capacity to break down our usual barriers, whether it’s at a stadium that seats twenty thousand, a small local venue, an open mic night, a basement show, or a house concert.

House concerts are put on by those who are passionate about music — so much so, they’re willing to lend their personal space to the community and the artist.

An Interview Olivia and I did with Red Line Roots, a music blog focusing on emerging artists in the Northeast.
